Group Session · FAQ

Specific questions about the group session. For general questions about Watsu, hydrotherapy, location and cancellation, see the main FAQ.

  1. Can I come alone or do I need a group?

You can come alone. The group session is open to individual bookings — most people sign up without knowing the other participants. The group forms in the water. We also accept bookings in pairs, with family, or in small groups of friends.

  2. How many people take part?

The session is limited to a small number of participants to preserve experience quality and individual care within the collective. The exact number of spots for each date is shown on the booking page.

  3. How does it work in a group if the work is so intimate?

The group session does not replace the individual one — it is a different thing. In the individual session you receive; here you also give. The facilitator leads the group, and at some point the work moves between the people: some hold, others float, and you agree among yourselves how you want to do it. Those who came together can stay together. Anyone who only wants to receive, from everyone, can do that too.

  4. Can I come with family or as a couple?

Yes. Couples, families or groups of friends can book together for the same session. For groups of more than 5 people, contact us on WhatsApp before booking so we can prepare the session accordingly.

  5. Do I need to interact with the other participants?

Not if you do not want to. Those who came in pairs can stay in pairs for the whole session, and anyone who came alone can ask to only receive. The session happens almost entirely in silence — the exchange is one of touch and support, not conversation. Nobody is pushed into anything.

  6. Is there more than one facilitator in the group session?

The session is led by one facilitator. The support in the water happens between the participants — that is the format: each person gives and receives. The facilitator watches, adjusts and steps in when needed.

  7. How often are group sessions held?

Group sessions happen regularly — weekly, biweekly or monthly depending on the season. To see the next available date, open the booking page.

  8. Is the group session cheaper than the individual one?

The per-person price for the group session is usually lower than the individual one, since the work is distributed. Check current prices when booking. Residents of Chapada dos Veadeiros get a different rate.
